A Thanksgiving dessert table usually comes down to one pie, maybe two. Cheesecake Lab on Jefferson Highway offers a way to put a dozen flavors out instead.
The shop at 7970 Jefferson Hwy., Suite B, makes individual cheesecakes and tops them while you wait. Guests can pick a flavored cheesecake or build their own by adding toppings.
Fall Flavors on the Board
The online menu runs from an Original Southern Style cheesecake at $7.50 to chocolate, banana pudding, caramel apple crumble and lemon blueberry at $8.50 each. Cranberry orange sits at $8.90.
The two most Thanksgiving-ready picks are a pecan pie cheesecake and a maple brown sugar version, each $9.50. Flavors rotate, so check the site before you go.
Trays for a Crowd
For gatherings, Cheesecake Lab sells two sizes. Full-size cheesecakes are 4 by 4 inches and come in the paper molds they bake in. Catering-size pieces are 2 by 2 inches and arrive in white cupcake liners.
Catering size costs $2.25 per serving with a 12-serving minimum. Choose from the current weekly flavors and you can mix up to three per dozen. Flavors not on the current menu need a minimum of 12 servings each. The shop suggests one full-size serving per person, or one and a half catering-size servings. Requests go through the catering form on the website, which makes it an easy add for office parties, Friendsgiving or the family table.
