October has been a wild ride on The Bluff, and the Jaguars aren't done yet.
Southern hosted Arkansas-Pine Bluff for Homecoming on Oct. 3 at A.W. Mumford Stadium. It was coach Marshall Faulk's first Southern Homecoming, and the theme was "Nobody Does It Better." The result didn't go Southern's way, a 41-10 loss, but the Jaguars bounced back a week later with a 28-14 road win at Prairie View A&M.
Now they finish the month on the road.
Saturday, Oct. 24: at Texas Southern, 2 p.m.
Southern heads to Houston for a SWAC matchup with Texas Southern. If you can't make the drive, the school's official radio station, KQXL 106.5 FM, is listed for Jaguars broadcasts.
Saturday, Oct. 31: at Florida A&M, 2 p.m. CT
Halloween in Tallahassee. The game at Bragg Memorial Stadium is listed on HBCU GO TV and 106.5. It's one of the more recognizable HBCU matchups on the schedule.
Back home Nov. 7
The Jaguars return to A.W. Mumford Stadium on Nov. 7. Southern's schedule lists the date as a High School Day, along with breast cancer and domestic violence awareness, so look for pink and purple in the stands.
Supporting from Baton Rouge
Road weeks are a good time to show up for Jaguar watch parties around town. When the team comes home, remember Southern's game-day guidance: arrive early, download tickets to your phone ahead of time, and follow the clear bag policy. Tailgate and RV spots are limited, and the SU ticket office at 225-771-3171 can help.
Faulk's first season has had highs and lows. Follow along these next two Saturdays, and be ready to fill Mumford when the Jaguars come home.
