Baseball isn't the only diamond in town worth watching this fall. LSU softball still has a few free chances to see the Tigers at Tiger Park before the season wraps, and the 2027 SEC schedule is already out.
Free Fall Ball in November
All fall games at Tiger Park are free, and two dates remain on the home calendar:
Wednesday, Nov. 11: LSU vs. Co-Lin at 5 p.m.
Tuesday-Thursday, Nov. 17-19: the annual Purple/Gold World Series, with the schedule listing a 2:30 p.m. start
The Purple/Gold World Series closes out the fall season. It is a relaxed, no-ticket way to get a first look at next spring's roster, and an easy after-school outing for young fans who play the game themselves.
The 2027 SEC Slate
The Southeastern Conference released its 2027 softball schedule in September. LSU plays eight three-game league series, 24 conference games in all, and four of those series come to Tiger Park:
Tennessee, March 26-28 (the SEC home opener)
Arkansas, April 9-11
Texas, April 16-18
Georgia, May 6-8
The Tigers open league play on the road at Kentucky on March 19-21. Other trips take them to Florida (April 2-4), Oklahoma (April 23-25) and Alabama (April 30-May 2).
Postseason Notes
The 2027 SEC Tournament moves to a neutral site for the first time since 2002. It runs May 11-15 at Toyota Field in Madison, Ala., home of the Double-A Rocket City Trash Pandas, which will host the event for four seasons.
LSU says its 2027 non-conference schedule is still to come, and game times and TV assignments will be announced later. For updates, check LSUsports.net/softball or follow @LSUSoftball.
For now, the plan is simple: grab a seat at Tiger Park this month, then save those spring weekends.
