Feeding a crowd this holiday season? Pot & Paddle Jambalaya Kitchen has built its business around exactly that, with jambalaya, pastalaya, gumbo and beans sold by the bowl, the box, the bucket and the cooler.
A Plate Lunch Rotation
The weekday lunch specials change by the day and each runs $10.75 to $11.25 on the online menu:
Monday through Thursday: pork roast over rice and gravy
Monday and Thursday: chicken stew with a roux-based gravy
Tuesday: pork and sausage sauce piquant
Wednesday: shrimp Creole
Friday: shrimp stew
Every day, a jambalaya or pastalaya bowl is $8.25, and the dinner with two sides and a roll is $10.75. The Meal Deal pairs jambalaya and gumbo with two sides and a roll for $15. Sides include white or red beans, coleslaw, corn, green beans, potato salad and green salad, and banana pudding closes things out.
Sized for Gatherings
This is where Pot & Paddle stands out. A family meal with jambalaya, beans, salad and rolls feeds five to seven for $42. Jambalaya or pastalaya buckets run from a small that serves five to seven up to an extra-large for 16 to 20. For bigger events, the insulated catering cooler holds 25 or more servings at $4.75 each, serving spoons included. The catering combo adds beans, salad, rolls, plates and forks for $6.50 per serving, with a 10-serving minimum.
