The Best Menu Items on Bread at Jed's Local
If you’re near Jefferson Highway and in the mood for a sandwich, Jed’s Local is the place for you. Their expansive menu is not only limited to sandwiches but has numerous salads and notable entrees such as crispy catfish and étouffée. Here are some of Jed’s Local’s best menu items between two slices of bread (po'boy bread or bun-- we aren't picky!).
Buffalo Chicken Sandwich

Po'boys are not for everyone, so if you’re still looking for a sandwich, Jed’s Buffalo Chicken Sandwich is the perfect option. Crispy Chicken, ranch, blue cheese, lettuce, and pickles on a brioche bun make this dish savory and spicy at the same time. This goes for all sandwiches, but add a side of fries to complete the meal.
Jed’s Cuban

Jed’s Cuban sandwich is a must-try item at the restaurant. Ham, pulled pork, pickles, swiss cheese, and Creole mustard on Cuban bread make this item absolutely mouth-watering. This sandwich is perfectly melted with hints of every ingredient in each bite. Pair this with some onion rings for the full experience.
Pressed Meatball Po'boy

A different take on a traditional South Louisiana classic is the pressed meatball po'boy. Very similar to your average meatball sub, this menu item has meatballs, marinara, parmesan, and provolone cheese pressed together between po'boy bread. For the full experience, add sweet potato fries as your side.
Shrimp & Fried Green Tomato Po’boy

If a regular shrimp poboy is not enough for you, and you’re looking to spice things up a bit, the shrimp and fried green tomato poboy are just what you need. This savory sandwich is topped with a remoulade sauce, lettuce, and a hard-cooked egg to pack it with its unique flavors. Add on a side of parmesan grits to make the experience even better.
If none of those menu items stick out to you, do not fret. Jed’s Local has plenty more sandwiches on their menu and many, many more choices for lunch and dinner such as their smothered chicken, red beans and rice, and local seafood platter.
