Gonzales gets a head start on the holidays this month. Tanger Gonzales, the outlet center at 2100 S. Tanger Blvd. off I-10, has three things on its November calendar, and two of them cost nothing to attend.

Nov. 6: Tree Lighting Celebration

The center's annual Tree Lighting Celebration runs Friday, Nov. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. Tanger's listing promises cookie decorating, face painting, balloon artists, bounce houses, a photo booth, holiday drinks and a live DJ before the tree goes bright. It's built for families, so bring the kids and a phone with room for photos.

Through Nov. 22: Tanger Deal Days

Tanger is running Deal Days through Nov. 22, with participating stores offering discounts of up to 25%. The offers posted on the center's page include 15% off an entire purchase, 15% off purchases of $100 or more and 15% off a single item, depending on the store. Check each store's terms before you check out.

Nov. 13-15: FoodeesFest Gonzales

The touring FoodeesFest sets up at the outlets Nov. 13-15 with more than 40 food and beverage partners plus dozens of crafters and artisans. Hours are:

Friday: 1 to 7 p.m.

Saturday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Sunday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Admission and parking are free, and the festival goes on rain or shine. Organizers ask guests to register online, which helps vendors plan and enters you into a prize drawing, though you can attend without signing up. Leashed pets are welcome. Bring a card and a little cash, since payment options vary by vendor.

Plan Your Trip

Pair the festival with an afternoon of gift shopping while Deal Days is still on, or make the tree lighting a family night out.
